It's a small, counter-style diner run by just two people, and they stick to tradition--right down to being cash-only! The older lady running the show has the perfect blend of tough love and warmth, ensuring every customer leaves happy. It was a treat to sit in a booth and watch them serve everyone with ease. The food was just as impressive. I ordered a double cheeseburger with chili cheese tots but got a single cheeseburger instead--and it still hit the spot! What else would a first-timer get at a burger and chili joint? The smash burger came with onions cooked right into the patty, and everything was made quickly right in front of me. The chili cheese tots were fantastic, topped with a rich, homemade-style chili and cheese. They even serve sodas with classic pellet ice! While I skipped dessert, they had a tempting array of pies, ice cream by the scoop, cinnamon rolls, and more. I'll definitely be back to try more of what this place has to offer! ”

Not just in the morning but Eat breakfast anytime they are open! 2 Eggs over easy, my requested extra crispy bacon, hashbrowns with onions & whole wheat toast.They are not open late nights & sometimes have staffing problems but they endure & we Northlanders keep coming back. I love the assortment of pies. Strawberry Rhubarb was very good & tonight, after my breakfast, my husband & I split a slice of warmed raisin pie with a scoop of ice cream on top for both of us. ”
